Advent and Christmas at Bethany Chapel

Life often requires us to wait. Yet waiting as a follower of Christ is not empty waiting. As Christmas approaches, we wait with deep confidence that just as Jesus came many years ago, He will come again. The season of Advent is a time when we gather to wait and celebrate.

Advent comes from a Latin word for “coming”. During Advent we remember how God’s people longed for the arrival of their Messiah. Then he was born! When Jesus came, God joined the human struggle in person, bringing salvation and justice to our beautiful, broken world. Now we celebrate His birth and await His second coming, trusting that His light shines in the darkness.

We would love to have you join us at Bethany Chapel this Advent and Christmas season!

“...those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
