The congregation is invited to a commissioning and welcome reception for John and Judy Prociuk on Sunday,  August 6th.

John received his BA (Honors) in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan in 1980, followed by a Master of Divinity (1985) and Master of Theology (1986) from Regent College in Vancouver.

He subsequently has served in a variety of pastoral roles including Senior Pastor positions, and as an Area Minister and Director of Clergy Care with the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada.  In recent years, John has been involved as a Transition Minister for Calgary area churches.

John describes his training and experience as developing skills and passions for transitional ministry, program review and development, team building, conflict resolution, and teaching and writing.  The Elders and the Transitional Pastor Search Committee have been impressed with John’s established track record in the Transitional Pastor role, his ability to articulate a clear plan for how he will help Bethany Chapel with the transition, and his obvious heart for the Lord and His people.
