SmallTalk

Please pick up a SmallTalk card from the sign in desk each week. These cards tell you what your child learned and give simple and creative ideas to help keep the learning going all week. Take advantage of teachable moments in your home (and car) to reinforce what was taught on Sunday morning!

  • Virtue: Forgiveness - Deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn't have to pay. 
  • Memory Verse: “Forgive the things you are holding against one another. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13 NIrV
  • Other info: We are raising funds for The Mustard Seed!

Weekly devotions encourage kids to read the Bible and talk to God at home. We want our kids to establish a lifelong habit of spending time with God! 

Parent Instructions

GodTime cards are easy and fun to use and doing one devotion a week is better than none!  

  1. Guide your child to find and read the Bible verse(s) in a Bible. Use the table of contents to teach your child how to find verses in the Bible.
  2. Guide your child to read the devotion paragraph aloud, assisting with unfamiliar words as necessary.
  3. Guide your child to read and do the activity.
  4. Pray a simple, short prayer aloud with your child, using the last sentence on the card as a guide. 

Note that this prayer suggestion always begins with T, A, L, K:

Thank God for something;
Ask God about something;
Look or listen for God to do something; or
Know that God will do something.
