Bethany Chapel is pleased to continue to develop Pastoral Care and Parish Nursing within our church family. Pastoral Care exists to empower people to walk in wholeness and strength, enabling them to fulfill the purposes of God for their lives within the Bethany body and the larger community. We believe that wellness is a matter of the whole person - body, mind and spirit. Pastoral Care at Bethany Chapel assists individuals and families in becoming more responsible for maintaining their own health, as well as that of their church family. The Parish Nurse / Pastoral Care Team works in conjunction with the pastoral staff and the elders to ensure an ever increasing effectiveness in our health ministries within our congregation and our local community.

2. Director of Pastoral Care Volunteers: Provides leadership, education, support and encouragement for the volunteers in the various Pastoral Care ministries.
3. Liaison to Community Resources: Connects people with resources in the Calgary community, as well as to resources within the Bethany Chapel community.
4. Health Counselor: Participates with people in the blended role of nurse and pastoral care provider to facilitate health, growth and strength of faith in challenging times. The approach includes spiritual, bodily, mental, emotional, and relational health.
5. Health Educator: Provides health education material through the pamphlet cart and bulletin board. Health education opportunities and programs are planned to meet group needs as they arise.
