PS Praise

ages two to kindergarten

| the best day of the week |

We want Sunday to be the best day of your child’s week! We are excited to have them at PS Praise and to help equip you to be an effective spiritual leader at home!

We believe it’s our responsibility to introduce preschoolers to their Heavenly Father. So before they leave PS Praise, we want them to know in their hearts:

  1. God made me.
  2. God loves me.
  3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Key Scripture

"From the lips of children & infants you have ordained praise." Matthew 21:16 NIV

Locations

  •  Ages 2-3: Nursery wing
  •  Ages 4-K: Lower CE wing

| curriculum |

Using First Look curriculum, we focus on one of these basic truths each month. Each week children experience fun worship songs, storytelling that brings the Bible to life and active, creative and age-appropriate activities that reinforce the Bottom Line. They have time to play and build relationships with other kids and adult and youth small group leaders.

Key Strategies

  1. Teach less for more - repeat one key truth (Bottom Line) all month long.
  2. Engage the five senses - master the concept through creative activities.
  3. Teach with the end in mind - help a child by age five to believe three Basic Truths
  4. Experience worship - encourage children to talk to God any time, any place.
  5. Connect at home - provide parents with ideas to bring it home.

Small Talk Cards

Please pick up a Small Talk card from the sign in desk. These cards are new each week and tell you what your child learned and give simple ideas for how you can reinforce learning at home.

Caregiver Ratio

To ensure our classrooms are safe and to create the best possible learning environments, we adhere to a ratio of one volunteer for every five children.

Snacks

We love to serve up some yummy, themed snacks and so please watch for the sign posted at the sign-in desk detailing the morning snack. If your child cannot eat the snack, please inform the teachers and bring an appropriate snack.

Potty Training

If your child is potty training, be sure to tell the teacher and send your child wearing pull-ups.

Volunteers are never in the bathrooms alone with children. They will assist them with clothing (as needed) outside the door and will keep the door open as they assist with hand washing.

Toys From Home

Please do not bring extra toys! They often are lost and/or cause trouble with sharing. We have lots of toys for all to share!
